I do... I rarely get those anymore even though I say them to others...
I doubt that people are THAT busy to not even bother to say a thank you after doing something nice for them or exchange a good morning with a friend/ acquaintance.
Just common curtesy, I guess.
Am I being too nice or just plain needy?
Or are people just becoming colder?

Hi, how are you? I hope fine. You are not plain needy, you're totally right. Nowadays, people are becoming so focused on their job, money, cell phones, ipods, computers, total industrialized world, material world, that they definitely dont spare some time for relating to people around them, and therefore even less for courtesy.
I 'm glad you notice, at least with people like you we still have hope to realize we are doing wrong, that we are losing humanity, that we are acting like robots.

You created a question with the the call something alongside the traces of "If existence is so honest..." and also you're dissatisfied because someone replied through in reality declaring "existence isn't honest"...and this isn't a valid answer why? existence isn't honest. i did not study your different question because it became deleted for some reason, yet I in all probability would have reported an same problem.

No you are not. The past few years I've noticed people don't or won't acknowledge you when you walk into a room. At first I figured they were engrossed in concentration. More and more it has become clear they just don't care. So I say "good morning" anyway and keep on walking. They can go pound sand.

iam one of the few in answers who tries to show some respect and common courtesy..these qualities are essential in life..i think having a little caring goes a long way...i wont say good morning becuase its afternoon.. but ill say thank you anyways

People are cold nowadays. I agree with you on this one. I'd also like to pay for something at a store and not be asked five different questions in the process. Just ring me up and send me on my way.

yes, sometimes I wonder myself what happened to people... they seem to have forgotten their manners... but I guess it's because of the speed of the times we live in...
