Most of the answers are a result of information fed to the people who wrote them. We Americans get a very lopsided and limited view of world events. Many listen to Fox News which actually provides the adjectives that many people in the country use to describe people like Hussein.
I personally think it is a mistake to kill him. I also feel that there are other world leaders who should be judged against the same standards. The name Sharon comes to mind very easily. And what about the international crimes committed by the Bush administration and their puppet, tony?

If Saddam hangs, so be it. An Iraqi court decided what his punishment should be for his crimes against humanity. He was a 2 bit dictator that cared more for his power & his whims than cared for his people. Most Americans love people from the Middle East. What we don't understand is the animosity that Shiites & Sunnis have against each other when the sects of Christianity & Judism got the violence out of their systems long time ago. As for 9/11, Saddam has helped fund the attack & has paid families of Palestinian suicide bombers for their children's "sacrifice." To the Iraqi people, good luck!!

I'm American and I do not hate people from the middle east. I do want Saddam Hussein out of the way. Whether or not he's killed or imprisoned is ok, just out of the picutre. As he is not responsible for the events of 9/11, he funds terrorist and has allowed terrorist to hold training camps in his country. Also, he has not only killed Shiites, he's responsible for killing thousands of innocent people, just to test his chemical weapons. I'm glad he's been brought to justice.

I'm American and I don't hate anyone. What I despise is the wanton killing of innocent people all in the name of Allah. What I loathe is a people who behead, torture, burn alive, put children in harms way, live to kill and only know war. What I can't understand why when most of the world has evolved into the 21st century, there are those who are still living in the 13th century, by THEIR OWN DOING. I don't hate all the people for the Middle East, I don't know them all, but I DO know about them.
Oh, yeah, don't forget, SH also PAID parents $10,000-20,000 DOLLARS if their children were successful in killing Americans by strapping explosives around their waist and walking into a mall, store, restaraunt, public building, bus station etc.... The devil beast that is Sadaam must hang for all his atrocities. He MURDERED CHILDREN.
