Don't rule out concealer totally. There is a yellow make up stick specifically for dark circles. On top you cover with a concealer that is close to your natural skin colour. A cosmetician at the store can help you chose the right concealer.

The causes of dark circles are many, some of which may have to do with ethnicity. Since you don't state your race/ethnicity, I can only offer general help. There are several home remedies that can help. One is cold cucumber slices on the eyelids for at least 10 minutes. Another is pure lemon juice diluted with spring water on large cotton balls placed on eyelids for 10 minutes.

If you can afford it, there's a treatment sold in finer department stores, called Hylexin, that I swear does work. It costs about $100 for a tube (which is rather large and you only need a dot for each eye) but I am a skeptic who swears by this stuff. My dark circles were caused by actual bruising under the skin around my eyes, which is usually caused by allergies and the constant rubbing of my eyes. Sleep, makeup, nothing worked. While the circles are not completely gone yet (I've used it for about 2 mos.) they are most definitely lighter and less intense, and I'll admit I haven't used it religiously like the instructions state.

Hope this helps.

Avon has a wonderful product that fades those dark circles. If it is from an over abundance of pigment in your skin. It is genetic and runs in families. This cream which you put on at night can make a huge difference. Good luck

if you put a slice of cucumber over your closed eyelids for five minutes every morning, the dark circles should recede.
