A -1. Why? Several reasons:
1. The very idea of preemptively invading another country without irrefutable evidence that it was planning an attack on the US.
2. The justification changes for going to war - what is it? No. #8 now?
3. If you go in, do it right. Bring enough troops. Don't break down peoples' doors at night, terrorizing the local residents. Don't shoot to kill and ask questions later. Don't torture them in prisons, breaking our codes of honor. Don't allow corrupted American contractors to do the work; hire the locals. Don't fire the entire police force (Baathists).
4. If you go in, don't declare "victory" too early. Have a plan to extract the troops after stablizing the government you just wrecked. Show some cultural sensitivity.
In the 1950s, a book was writted entitled The Ugly American. You could call this The Ugly American Squared.

I am fairly conservative on most issues, and I used to love President Bush, and I would really like to be able to now, but I just can't, no matter how hard I try to see the good in him now, I just can't anymore. He's a disgrace to the Republican party, but even more so to America. He's embarrassed us (Americans) on a planetary level. I've reluctantly arrived at the point where I have to say that I'm ashamed of our president.
To answer your question, I give him a solid 0

i'd score W a 10 basically because of question 5 he makes me snicker. the U. S. replaced into the chief of the loose international and in 8 short years has change into the guffawing inventory of the international. they have squandered each little thing they once held so expensive. the damage is performed and President Obama won't be able to be able to fix it.

Overall I give Bush 9/10. He got us out of the recession he inherited & has stood up to Islamofascism. In Iraq, 5/10. We shoud have sent more troops earlier. increased the size of the armed forces starting 9/12/01 & Iraq will never be 1 stable democracy & we shouldn't try to do that.

0/10.
The Iraq War is clearly a vendetta. During the Gulf War, Saddam humiliated the first Bush, and now his son is helping daddy out. It wasn't Iraq who bombed the WTC. It was Afghanistan.
Don't believe everything the government tells you.

with 0 being good and 10 the worst......If Bush thinks he is such a good leader and has such a good plan he should go over to the front lines and show us how it is done.. THEN maybe our boys could come home sooner. ....Plus a whole bunch is my rating.
First when he was running for re-election he was gonna bring them home, then after they had their elections and we help them set up their government they will be home. One exuse after another and now wants to deploy 20,000 or more there. Hog wash...Every time he speaks he is focused on "winning" the war in Iraq. He seems to think he's playing "war games" with real people.
