i don't do much leaping never have ....as far as taking the plunge rather than binoculars I use a microscope and my intuition , mixed with my own personal knowledge gained through experience....before I make my move...

i look and look and look and look before taking the plunge. i truly believe it's an aging question and answer. today, i find myself watching everything, all the time, to make sure the plunge is safe and comfortable.

Dragon has wings, so Dragon can fly, so she generally won't look before leeping.
But when Dragon is her human self, she will observe a situation thoroughly before getting involved. Very observant Dragon is in human form.

Most of the time, I just leap.
But I tend to make sure I've got a parachute, just in case.
