Tee hee! Yeah, when my computer went down I flipped, screamed, kicked and tried for endless days (doing nothing else) to get onto Yahoo! Once I start, I cannot stop! I do not really like the Internet though...
P.S... Talking about addictions... Heard about MXit? If you have a cellphone (mobile) that supports the Internet, go to www.mxit.co.za/wap
that, my dear friend, is highly addictive!

It seems I go through stages where I focus on one board or forum until I make the critical contacts and connections needed.
First I was into the religious discussion on BBS boards. Later I was using the Christian and Buddhist sections on the college club forum. Last year it was the MSN group for Break Up Survival. And now it's Yahoo Answers.
So it depends what I am working on, usually related to personal networking for either sharing philosophical or political discussion, or my website production projects, or both.

You have to define addiction better than that. Can I stop at any time? I normally am not on the internet on the weekend. Do I spend a lot of time on the 'net. Yep, I'm a sysadmin. My job is boredom interspersed with brief moments of terror :) Answering questions works as well here as answering questions on the motorcycle forums, unix forums, or gaming forums. It's also a nice break from reading about new technologies or practicing with currently deployed tech on one of my home systems.
How about you? Are you a cynical person believing the worst in everyone? Why not get that checked out? :)
Edit: Maybe you missed what I said I do. I'm a sysadmin and naturally paranoid. Sorry if you were offended by my answer. It sure sounded reasonable to me.
