A clutch is a mechanical means to seperate the flywheel from the transmission to aid in shifting gears. In 99.2% of cases, it means the car has a manual transmission with a "stick" shift gear selector and a clutch pedal. There are cases with the higher up cars such as ferraris and such that have a clutch, but it considered a manualmatic as the computer controls the engagement/disengament of the clutch based off of driver inputs via paddles behind the steering wheel.
