Try washing it in some downy water and hanging it on the line

I don't know the size. If it is a twin you can probably wash it at home OK. The excessive rubbing causes problems with comforters.

Taking it to a laundromat with the large washers, Plus use the detergent made specifically for dark colors.

On everything black for the first few washings I add 1 cup of salt, all I know is it helps set the black and it holds up much longer.

I would avoid excessively HOT drying which creates static electricity and would make things cling to the black.

It could be that the filling is coming through the comforter and shows up in sharp contrast on the black fabaric.

I would wash it in cold water, with a mild detergent, on a gentle cycle. Wash it by itself. Tumble it on low heat, removing it from time to time to give it a good shake. This will keep it from becoming lumpy.

If you think the stuffing is breaking down and coming through to the surface, you might want to take it back to the store for a replacement or a refund.

you have to wash it by itself, cold water, and unless you get a lint remover, the fuzzies will stay
