If yes, would you consider buying simulated diamond instead?

I did some research on diamonds (Sierre Leone)about 5 years ago for a paper and yes it has changed my views on diamonds. I used to be a diamond fanatic and it was all i wore but after learning about the violence surrounding them it completely turned me off. Another reason is that diamonds don't hold their value like they used to either. The Russians have invented a replica to a diamond that is so good it couldn't be detected by some of the worlds best jewelers. When these hit the marketplace it will completely change the worth of diamonds.

My opinion of diamonds is the same. I've always thought they were a waist of money. Their pretty, but I don't need one. Fake is just as pretty, but much less money.

I'm still going to have a diamond engagement ring whenever and if ever I get engaged.
But I won't buy anything frivolous.

haven't seen the movie, knew about blood diamonds already, and i'd rather not have one if i had the choice, so no, my opinion hasn't changed.
