Well i just bought the 360 and im stuck on which game to buy either dead rising, gears of war, madden 07 (which i have on xbox), or oblivion...so which one should i buy and why. Oh and if i missed a good game let me know.

Dead Rising's wicked fun, but it gets a bit repetitive towards the "end" of the story, but it never gets old to find some new weapon and basically run a lawn mower over a zombie. Gears of war is pretty sick, it's a solid game with some fun multiplayer. The story itself is kinda quick though.
Madden 07 is Madden, you know what it is, you have it for the old xbox, it's just got some sick graphics when it's hooked up to hdtv's through the 360.
and oblivion is decent. It's a pretty solid rpg, with a long enough story, and plenty of stuff to do and some quality graphics. But i wouldnt make it the first selection of games you buy.
overall, id say gears of war should be first, since uve already got madden, then dead rising, then its a toss up between madden and oblivion

Oblivion is really good if you like Role Playing Games
Dead Rising is just a rental - rent it, play it for a week and be done with it. Fun, but not worth $60.
Gears of War is the best action/shooter game on the 360, in my opinion.
If you're a sports Junkie, Madden 07 will keep you satisfied for a few months, but it's no where near the calibur of Oblivion and GOW.

I love gears of war, but I can play oblivion forever with out seeing the same thing twice.... but if you want to feel the power of the xbox 360- gears of war is much more impressive- I don't know about the other games.

OMG! Gears of war! And Two other really good games: Oblivion ( I just got it yesterday for x mas) and condemned, i got that a year ago when i got my 360...GOOD game..And the oblivion game WAS #1 out of all of the 360 games..but now gears of war is..but im jsut not into games like that! (or sports games)

It's a toss up between Gears of War and Dead Rising. I personally have a Zombie fetish and love killing zombies by running over them with a lawn mower, cutting them in half with a chainsaw, or a well placed head shot to the dome. I love taking pictures of them too with their brains all over the place. but thats just me.
Gears of War is an awesome shooter, with amazing graphics and multiplayer. It has a cool co-op option too, so if you have a buddy that wants to play, it's perfect. It's just a great game that will be in your collection forever, plus it's the only game with a chainsaw bayonet.
So, you want a multiplayer game you can play with your friends? Go with Gears of War otherwise go with the 1 player Dead Rising
p.s. If you like Grand Theft Auto type of games- Then you'll love Saints Row, It's not GTA, it's better!
