i'm trying to get in to other types of music but i dont know of any good bands, so could you name some good bands that you think i would like?

Low Lustre, Motion City Soundtrack, Spill Canvas, Old Dash, The Shins, Finch, The Starting Line, Death Cab for Cutie, Older Plain White’s, (New CD Blows) Jimmy Eat World, SoCo, Jack's Mannequin, Older Green Day ( new stuff sucks), Finest Hour, the Fray, the Rags, Pocket Rocket, Quiet Drive, ...Oh and a word of advice, stay away from **** punk pop bands like Blink, Sell out Boy, Good Charlotte, Panic! or any other crappy pop punk band MTV may try to pass off as "Punk"... Not only do they suck,(regardless of what 16 year old little girls think) but anyone who knows anything about music will laugh hysterically at you for listing to that crap.
