Yes people now sue for the dumbest things.
Just for the simplest things like " he touched me"
There was once a case that a man robbed a persons house and sued the person since he broke his toe in an attempt to rob the house. He won the case which is ridiculous he did go to jail but had 526 dollars in his bank ut when he came out.....

Yes! Theres those things that you mentioned. Before they passed a law against it, people could sue doctors that tried to help random people who had a problem like a heart attack or ashma (sp) attack if the people died from it. If you get that. Some lady sued my mom ten thousand dollars for bumping into this girl with her car. And the girl was fine too. Long story.

It's a lack of personal responsibility. Nobody wants to be blamed for their own stupidity, so groups like the ACLU are always ready to put the blame on society. There is no common sense anymore.
I'm waiting for the day when someone who was hit by a drunk driver sues an auto maker for not making cars booze proof.
It's coming....it's only a matter of time.

People gotta realize that people are gonna make them upset for litte things but taking it to court is just too much.I mean sueing because her coffee is too hot. That seems a little extreme. There is so much more important things out there to sue for.

Many do, but It's a two edged sword ...
from one side you make corporations take care of their responsibilities toward customers ..
and on the other side there are those who try to use that for living and to become rich.
The solution is probably that they limit the ability to sue only for valid accepted by jury lawsuits.

The all mighty dollar. Easy money they figure. You can sue a rich person for a million and they'll more then likely settle out of court for a few hundred thousand, in stead of spending millions defending themselves. I think it's disgusting.

America is very litigious. My favorite one was the Winnebago owner driving down the highway who put his motorhome on cruise control while he went to the kitchen to make a sandwich. Of course the motorhome crashed. He sued Winnebago and won because they didn't explain in the owner's manual what would happen if he did that. Can you say duh?

Yes. It's part of our legal system's problems. Too many frivolous lawsuits clogging up the dockets and wasting too much time.
