Is sexism is merely an inequal belief in one sex or another? So if you believe that one gender is superior to another do you define yourself as sexist? From an egalitarian point of view i don't consider either to be superior, but that's mainly because i don't care. I'm just curious about what other people think.

I agree with you. I'm an individualist.
I think pretty much any individual can be capable of pretty much anything any other individual is capable of -- if they choose to devote themselves. There may be physiological differences, but these don't correlate to one sex being superior or inferior.

But yes....Sexism is merely a belief that one sex is superior than another.
Neither is superior.
Most people, male or female, are inferior.

Superiority is a subjective judgment. It depends on from what perspective you're defining the word superior.
In fact, neither gender is superior to the other. They merely have differences.
I don't have chauvinistic attitudes toward people, nor do I believe anyone is inherently superior to anyone else. I suppose, based on the definition of sexist, that makes me a non-sexist.

I don't define myself as sexist; however, I do believe that men and women have inherently different roles in life. THere are some things that men just plain do better than women instinctually, and vice versa.

I prefer females, but sexism is when you think one sex is superior to another. Both sexes are equal. I just prefer females.

i know a guy who is a sexist pig and here's the worst part- he's a teacher and it's kind of sad in that they let him be a teacher and that i hate to say if he liked girls better then i'd probably like him better so yes there is sexism

Being sexist is stupid, it will get you nowhere since there is billions of the other gender who do not agree! you cannot take on billions of people on your own, or with just a few others, can you?

I think there is really all kinds and no isms at the same time a lot of it rest on perceptions. Different people see things differently and also they are different so hope that helps answer it.
