The internet you get between those two plans is different. The $5.99/mo gives you access to websites and basic email. It goes through a T-Mobile hosted proxy server, and I'm not sure you actually get full access to any website you want.

The $29.99/mo gives you full direct internet access, no proxy (afaik) or restrictions, plus an unlimited T-Mobile Hotspot wifi account.

You could (I think) just get the 5.99/mo for your Pocket PC, but you wouldn't get full internet access. The reason they push the 29.99 plan for smartphones is because those phones have more advanced internet tools, so they figure you want to take advantage of them.

They used to have a $19.99/mo full internet plan that didn't have the WiFi package, but it looks like they got rid of that.

If you have a SIM on your account that has the 5.99 service already, then it would work in your Pocket PC, but the Internet access may be limited. You may need to configure the Pocket PC software specially to use the 5.99 service on it.
