And if it you believe it should be, then do you also believe that we do not need the First Amendment of the United States Constitution?

As far as Bush is concerned, it ought to be mandatory for every American to call him an idiot.

No, it should not be illegal. What I'd like to see is more
patriotic Americans that stand behind the president their
people have elected; they begin to act unAmerican which
is not good for this Country. This is the first time I've seen
politicians publicly call other politicians names like Hitler,
liar. What ever happened to decency and politeness?
Guess the Democrats threw that out the window. You
don't see Pres. Bush retaliating with name-calling
them back....that's one plus for him. He is still a gentleman.
He loves the troops, has visited them in Iraq, has called
them on the phone and thanked them and he only wants
the best for America and our freedom from terrorists. All
the Democrats see is daily numbers of our dead. I've never
seen a war yet that did not have casualities. Look back in
your history statistics. War is hell and we already know that
but sometimes it becomes necessary to deal with the wicked
and evil in this world.

We live in a wonderful country that allows us to speak our mind. Look at all of the fun we had discussing former Presidents Nixon and Clinton. I love living in the USA.

it should not be illegal to discuss anything in any manner, EVER. please take a moment to thoroughly contemplate the consequences of such a law being passed. what makes you think they would stop at negative discussions of the president? and how would they know he was being discussed? the only answer to that is large-scale surveillance of our daily lives. and who will enforce this law? the same policemen who are supposed to be stopping murders and rapists and terrorists, not spending their time and our tax dollars making sure we don't say anything negatve our president.

While it should not be illegal, it should be considered in bad taste. Freedom comes with a price, even if theat price is having to deal with dunderheads who've no moral or ethical leg to stand on. Had today's liberals and news media been around in WW II, we'd all be speaking German. Seig HEIL!

Is this a take home essay question, and if it is you should take harder classes.
It should and always will be legal in this country to shout from the roof tops that the president is WRONG!
Print it in bold letters and plaster all across the countryside, b/c it your right as an American.

Of course not. If that were the case we would have absolutly nothing to say when we get presidents like William Jefferson Clinton.

Definitely not! What frustrates me is people who don't vote and then they badmouth our officials. If you don't vote keep your mouth shut! Our voting system is so everyone gets a voice, not just a limited few. I personally am a Bush supporter, but I will still say something when he makes a mistake.

I'll leave the country and never come back, if they take freedom of speech away!
