no...don't give it to anyone. just get rid of it. that ring was not meant for anyone but you, and keeping the ring will just remind you of what used to be. the marriage is over, so there is no need to keep it or give it away. get a nice box and put the ring in it...shove the box somewhere where you can forget about.

Why would you think of doing that?
Its yours. The commitment isn't, but the ring is. If the girl is your best friend and you absolutely still love her even after he left you, and she needs it.. its still your ring. If it was a family heirloom from his family, and cost a billion dollars, and was made in 1492 by Columbus himself ... its still your ring.
Do with it what you want to do with it. It is your ring.

Sell the wedding ring and get yourself a piece of jewelery that you'd enjoy.

Did i read this right?! Do you really have to ask this? WOW.
The ring is yours and he's a loser of epic proportions if he asked for it back, or his newfound hoochie asked for it. That really takes balls, man.
Go hock the ring and then spend the money on some frivolous thing for yourself...it's worth it.

Dear Broken,
No...you should not! This was something he gave to you as a symbol of love! It was presented to you, it is your's to keep, or do whatever you want with it. You could pawn it, keep it, give it to somebody...but don't feel pressured to give it to the one he left you for. I'm praying for your situation!
Love,

Hell, no!!! Go trade it in at a pawn shop and get something nice you want to wear! Would you want to wear a hand-me-down ring? I don't think so.

No. Be a better person than that. I don't think she should have a chance to see you upset. Give it to him and let him know that you're fine, not grieving and are strong and able to move on.

give it to a charity so that some-one benefits & forgive him his stupidity. You are too precious to waste another minute looking back-learn from the experience & move on.

No he gave that as a gift to you. Let him buy her another one, if you give it to them that would only make it easier cause then he wouldn't have to go buy another. If you really don't want it sell it.
