I have a question, I think I got a girl pregnat and im only 16 year's old. I live in North Carolina and im wondering what the system here is going to do about me being only 16 and the mom of the kid is 19, will I have to pay half of the money to help the kid?..please help!!

I don't know NC law, and recommend that you consult an attorney--you night get a free consultation from one who specializes in Family Law. My guess, however, is that you will have to pay child support if the child is yours because the law will make both parents equally responsible for the welfare of the child. The amount of your obligation and its timing may depend on your age and whether you're in school, etc. You might not have to pay anything for a while if you're only 16.

Yes, looks like you will need to get a job, you will have to pay child support. And she may go to prison, you are underage. God bless****

well first of all she can be charged with statutory rape and go to jail. and yes you could ( or your parents) can be held responsible for child support. Be careful!

If you work then yes...And she could be in alot of truble because she wayyyyyyyyyyy older then you ... So she might not try to do anything to you till your 18

Hell No. You're the minor and youcan just say that she took advantage of you. You won't have to do a thing. Just ignore her.

call your county court house and ask what the laws are where you live.
you dont have to give them any personal info.

well if she charges you for child support, you can charge her with statutory rape cause you are underaged.
