I mean Rivers is surrounded by great players. He's got LT and Antonio Gates, pretty good O-line, and a dominant defense. Yet, all I hear on ESPN and read in the newspaper is Rivers being credited with all of the Chargers wins. I think that credit should go to LaDainian Tomlinson and his 31 touchdowns. By the way most of River's passing yards were thrown to Antonio Gates, no doubt the leagues best tight end, who leads the team in receiving yds with 868, their starting wide recievers, have 597 and 398 receiving yds and LT has 494 recieving yds. The only reason his passer rating is good is coz the Chargers have LT who i hope everyone knows is a beast. Tom Brady has no go to reciever, no go to tight end, n injuryy-bettered o-line and defense, yet the patriots r still doing pretty good, and he's having a pretty good year. He's thrown for more yards than Rivers too, and hes got no one, he makes people better, he's also thrown for more touchdowns and has a rating of 87, close to River's 90.

Well, Tom Brady got the second most votes from the fans, the fans' votes count 1/3 of the total vote, 1/3 is for the players votes and the remaining 1/3 is for the coaches votes. So I guess that players an coaches think Rivers is more deserving.

Just because Rivers had 2 bad games, doesn't mean he is not deserving or good, at the time the voting was done, he had better stats than Brady.

He has a higher QB rating than all three of those guys you picked. And as far as people saying he doesn't throw as much, he has thrown for more yards than McNair and Pennington, and is only 70 yards behind Brady. He was chosen because he's only thrown 8 int's this year, which is fantastic for a first year starter. His team is 12-2, you don't get to 12-2 in the AFC west division without a good QB, and Rivers is a great QB. People who say the Chargers are all L.T. have never watched a Charger game, the Chargers run a balanced offense, they pass as much as they run, that's why they're unstoppable, they have too many weapons.

Pro Bowls are voted on by fans. Therefore, it is a popularity contest and Philip Rivers won, just like Romo did for the NFC. There are no statistical requirements after they wind up on the ballot, just that fans vote for him. Obviously, Brady fans did not vote as much as Rivers fans, therefore Rivers goes. ProBowls and AllStar games are jokes, just look at all of the injured players that are voted to the allstar game in baseball every year!!.

When i found out Rivers made the pro bowl over Brady i was seriously pissed. Tom Brady is the QB that every team wants and one of the best qbs all time and he doesnt even make the pro bowl and a rookie gets the spot over him....crazyyy

Without a doubt. San Diego IS LT. You really think they'd be where they are now if it were entirely on the shoulders of Rivers? No where near. As LT goes so goes San Diego, which in the end will be their downfall in the playoffs.

Tom Brady deserved it more, but I'm sick of New England, so I don't mind seeing Rivers there instead

Yes, I do.

Rivers has really struggled the past few weeks and Brady is carrying the Pats.
