This is a house I bought a year ago. The kitchen light on the ceiling has burned out, but there is no obvious way to remove the bowl to get at the bulb.

Normally a flush mount fixture has a bolt than you can remove that will loosen the bowl, but not this one. There are no bolts, screws, or anything else. I have tried pushing up on the bowl and trying to turn it. No luck. I am completely clueless.

Grab the metal part of the fixture that is flush with the ceiling and gently pull down. It will slide down on 2 springlike wires.

Don't know for sure but sometimes these fixtures are attached with a bayonet mount. You could try holding the shade and the clips and carefully turning the whole thing counterclockwise. That might release the shade.

Put a screw driver under the edge and twist side wise, it's a spring loaded set. It will snap down with force. It goes back with force also, watch out for the fingers.

I've seen some that were "spring-loaded", basically you just pulled them down and the spring extended. Only then could you change your bulb. Hope I've helped you out.....best of luck to you.
