I know theres lots of different things he could do but I was wondering what you thought....Okay long story short been loosing my plug since the 4th, thinning more than I should, babys dropped, having dilation pains, lots of false labor and BH. My appt is on the 28th if I am thinning more or dilated even a little what do you think he will do? I'm 32 weeks. My best friend was dilated to a one and he sent her in and put her on pit and she had her baby. I don't remember how far she was along though....oh yeah and I don't wanna hear that the baby needs to stay in longer blah blah I'm not a child I freakin know.

Depends on your doctor- some might admit you to the hospital and start the pit. and go ahead and deliver the baby before more complications start. Others might admit you or send you home on bed rest for another week or so. They'll probably more or less go ahead and have you deliver though. CONGRATS!

If your body is trying to go into labor right now there is little your dr can do to stop it. He will most likely try to get you to 34 or even 36 weeks before he lets you go.
Some women get put on bedrest for the remainder of their pregnancies if this happens, so he might do that.
But since your already dialating and thinning out he may put you in the hospital on bedrest and give you a shot to stop the contractions that are making you dialate (If you dont feel any contractions you can still be having them) and just monitor you for the next few weeks.
Good luck hun!!!

if your friend was dilated only 1 centimeter she would not have been admitted to the hospital....

considering you are only 32 weeks the doctor will more than likely put you on bed rest....a baby isnt considered full term until 37 weeks, and the lungs are not fully developed until at least 35-36 weeks.....

if he puts you on bedrest and you still are having labor pains or continue to dilate, he may do an amniocintesis to check if the babys lungs are developed enough to be able to properly function on their own if delivered. if the fluid comes back positive, he may make you deliver

If you're curious what your doctor will do, why don't you just call him and ask him? I would think that most normal women would want what's best for their unborn babies and it sounds like yours may be coming nearly two months early, which could be a very bad thing. You claim you're not a child, but the way you worded your post and the fact that you seem to have little or no concern for your baby's health and well being leads me to believe otherwise. God help your baby.

if you are only 32 weeks now, your doctor will probably put you on bedrest to prolong the labor. just to let the baby cook a while longer. i was told that after you hit 36 weeks and you start laboring, they will let you have at it. but if that baby wants out now....there's little risk nowadays. but the Dr will want the baby to stay a bit longer just for the baby's health.

well-it really depends, he should recheck your cervix for more dialation/thinning.
even then if you are dialated/thinning more--he may just send you home.
a lot of doctors send women home to 'enjoy' the beginning stages of labor there.
(it is possible to lose your plug and not go into actual labor for one or two months.)

If you are thinning, then please go to the doctor because if you are loosing the fluids, you know you can get an infection, so just pretend you are young and dumb and go to the doctor or er. Better to tell them you are dumb then risk the little one.
This is my 4th one and I still play dumb from time to time.
