..........Adult Book and Video Store? What if the rent was really affordable? I don't think I would. Your thoughts?

Well, they say you should live near people with whom you share an interest. So I think it would work out swimmingly. Everyone always tells you "Well the home is so close to schools, shopping, and the bus line". Well guess what, I don't have a kid, I hate shopping, and can't stand riding the bus, would rather bike. Now if a real estate agent said "It's located right next to a porn shop", that would be a seller for me.

Yes I would... they have tremendous security at those places and it is well lit, so I would feel safe that my belongings were safe.
Now this was provided that:
1. No children lived with me (oops i have 3)
2. There was a HUGE fence separating us (wouldnt matter, the lights will always be taller than the fence)
3. I was under 30 (dang i am already over that!)
4. I got a HUGE discount for being a neighbor (oh dang, do they even HAVE VIP cards?)
5. I got to interview ever 5th person going in and got to look through their bags when they came out. That would also be inclusive that I get to take one or more of their top tiered items to keep for myself...
6. I get to get a job there working part time. (dang I already have a job!)
So yes... I would.. but only if....lol

Why not? Everyone has to make a living, right? If it comes down to a moral question, my girlfriend worked at an adult bookstore for a time, and based on her experiences there, I know that most everyone who works in an adult bookstore aren't perverted maniacs. As for location....hey, rents cheap and I have bills to pay!

I'm 18, working a crappy job, and if I could meet rent some where, I'd live there regardless of where it was. It's all a matter of feeling safe, and sex doesn't get to me, you know? I might be a little more hesitant to live in a place with high gang activity, because that's a danger that's clear. A few **** mags won't hurt me.

as long as they closed at a decent hour and I didnt have kids, I would (if I were finacially limited) It's probably (much) better than living next to a bar with bands that play until 2 am every weekend and drunks peeing all over the place.

I would't care if the rent was free .when you have children this is the last place you would want to live...It's sad however that so many of these stores are all over and they make a fortune on what they sell....hope your holidays were great .....kara

depends on how busy the place was. I guess you would find out just how busy it was if you moved in there. some of those people are normal enough, but some are sickos and creeps. If I was a guy I might. those places smell like semen though, and that makes me want to puke.

As long as there was a low crime rate, why not? Not like I'm ever going to have to look at that place.
