Go for the Wii. If you don't have an HD TV and Xbox 360 is not worth it. Lucky for you, the Wii doesn't support HD TV, so you should be fine. How ever, if you love shooter games, the Wii is not for you. The Xbox 360 is ALL ABOUT shooter games and T-M rated games, and wii has a couple but they aren't too good. Red Steel was rated 5/10 from numerous sites, and Call of Duty 3 for Xbox 360 is much better then it's Wii counterpart.

Quite honestly, I think the XBOX 360 is still the powerhouse system to beat. Though I have yet to play the PS3 myself, I DO have both the 360 and the Wii. Wii is incredibly innovative with the motion sensor controls and what not, plus the classic franchises of Zelda, Mario, etc. But the fact is, the Wii has yet to prove itself as more dominant than the 360. It only has a few titles out right now, as compared to the MANY of the 360, and with the online play only a function of one Wii game, versus nearly every 360 game being able to go onto Xbox Live, that really helps the 360.
In the future, the Wii may grow to be the powerhouse system, but right now, the 360 still stands at the top for it's vast selection in gaming, excellent graphics (even on a non Hi-Def TV), and easy and fun online play.
I do have faith in the Wii, but it will take some time and hard work from Nintendo to knock the 360 off the top.

Go for the 360
The Wii has not that many good games especially in the graphics department. The 360 has a plethora of games coming next year and with Live Anywhere, you will be able to play either on PC or Xbox360 against people.
Halo 3 is coming along with Bioshock and Mass Effect. That should be enough for anyone to decide which is best. The multiplayer aspect online of the Xbox360 is by far the best of any console.
If I didn't have both myself right now then I would decide to get a 360 on the basis of LIve, Games (available now & coming in the first quarter) and the graphics. Some of these games are too superior graphicwise to anything gone before. I don't even touch my old Xbox, it now looks like an antique.

Just get the Wii. XboX is not as fun, in my opinion. The graphics are better, but there's no real newness to the 360. I also like Nintendo's games better than what's out there for XboX; they're more fun and there are more multiplayer games. How can you resist a system that has Twilight Princess? I think more people will have Wiis and more people will want to play them than XboXes, and you get better entertainment value from a Wii because it's something different.

if u dont have an hdtv, then the wii is already at an advantage.the wii doesnt have good graphics, they're like the gamecubes graphics.
if u want fast action shooter games, great graphics and great online, then go for the xbox. the wii is aimed more at family friendly games, so not many gun and gore games. tho its style is totally new. i have an xbox 360, and its great..... dont forget the best game ever is coming!!!!!..............HALO3!!!!!!!!!!!!!=D
