I don't really like limewire. I don't know how to preview stuff before I download it. Please give me any advice that you have. Thank you.

Well to preview stuff on limewire you click to preview button, it's right next to the download button...however if you are looking for free AND legal downloads P2P programs are not the way to go! they are ILLEGAL! but if you want a better P2P try pando, or morpheus. If you are totally against P2P, try torrents, they are user friendly, download Utorrent and the go on the torrentz website (spelt with a "z") and search for the album/file you want follow the instructions and vala! you have music : )

There are very few places that allow you to download free music legally. Limewire is actually legal but only for certain songs which are public domain (artist dead for 70 years) or if the artist has given a license to the person providing the song (these are rather rare and none of the popular bands do this).

There are many commercial free Internet radio stations but you can't download from them. My favorite is called Pandora.

Also if you download a song from anywhere and the person does not have a license for it than it is still illegal. Regardless of if they call it a torrent or Morpheus or whatever. The only thing is if a music company can find you and sue you for copyright infringement. So if you can find a untraceable sight than you can't get caught. And it's not illegal if you don't get caught right ^_^.

And you do know that most of the stuff on limewire isn't legal, right?

100% free and legal do not go together in music downloads. If you are downloading and not paying, then you are, in essence, stealing. It is no different than shoplifting a CD from a store.

You DO have to pay like 5-10cents a song, but it's all good, virus free, and still technically legal.
