They can get a stuffy nose, but a wheeze should not be present. When babies "cut" teeth an inflamitory process is set up. The gums become irritated and this can lead to a fever and other cold like symptoms. also when ever a babies immune defenses are challenged as you see when they get new teeth it allows other germs to gain access to thier developing immune system and they become more suseptable to cold viruses and other illnesses. I hope this helps. Dose him with tylenol and if you Dr. says it's ok with Motrin as tylenol won't help the inflamation of his gums and the motrin will. Keep his room well humidified and you could use some saline in his nose to help loosen secretions and that will allow them to drain out a little more easily. If he continues to wheeze you should get him to the Dr. as this could be signs of a true illness

NO, children do not get sick simply because they are teething. They don't even get fevers although it is a very popular misconception. If the baby is wheezing and congested I suggest putting something under one end of his matress so that he is slightly elevated while sleeping and also getting a humidifier. If he is really congested you may need to see your doctor.

If they're getting their top teeth (esp. their eye teeth or canines) that may cause them to be congested because those teeth area ll in the sinus area. Wheezing, however, is NOT a sign of teething. It's a sign of either fluid in the lungs, a bronchial infection or asthma. Your baby needs medical care.

I am not sure about wheezing, but a runny nose, congestion, restless, fever, are all signs of teething. If he is wheezing take him to the dr as that is not good.

sinus issues yes, a wheeze no. Your teeth sinuses and ears are all kinf of interconnected, so alittle bit of clear runny nose and sinus pressure is normal. Wheezing, coughing, a temperature, or major ear pulling are not signs of teething.

I've never heard a connection between teeth and rsv/asthma. Lungs-teeth, I just can't really think of a way that could be.
