OMG. You can't get an STD from that. STDs are from actual SEX with an infected partner. Now, if the guy he shook hands with had a cold or flu virus, then you could get THAT. Cold and flu viruses can live for a long time outside of the body.

In the future, you might want a guy to wash his hands before he puts them inside you.

you cant get stds from a hand shake he would of had to had a cut on his hand and the hand he was shaking would of had to be bleeding meaning that the other persons blood would of had to enter his body some how before entering yours. and as far as an infection no if his hands was dirty when he fingered you he could give you a bacterial infection but its not from the hand shake. and my oppinion if you know this little about how stds are spread to need to keep your legs closed until you have alot more information on sex stds and stuff like that sounds to me your not really ready for adult relationships.

Can't get an STD that way or from dirty toilet seats.

Other than something like strep or staph, I'm not familiar with other infections that would be easy to get that way either. Most virals, like colds and flus tend to target different tissues (nasal or respiratory).

I don't think so. STD's are not transmitted through handshakes, at least none that I know of.
