You first need to set up an account on ebay. It will walk you throught the steps right on the site. When you have your account set up you go to the sell section and it will pretty much walk you through it. When you dill in the title of your item describe as much as you can on that forst line. Good luck

The Help tab on the ebay front page explains how to sign up to eBay and create an advert. People sell things either in an auction format for a certain numbe of days or select the 'buy now' option so that buyers can buy immediately at a fixed price that you specify.

The help pages explain how to create your advert page. The eBay website has online tools to create the page and you can add your own text and photos.

You need to say in your advert; the sale-price, the shipping cost and insurance cost (if you offer insurance). The best thing to do is to look at other people's adverts.

The money that you pay to eBay consists of an insertion fee for the advert and a percentage of the sale price, if the item sells (see link).

An important part of eBay is the 'feedback' score 0% - 100%, so that buyers and sellers know what previous customers thought of a particular seller and what sellers thought of a customer.

You can sign up for a Paypal account. This is a payment service owned and operated by eBay, so that customers can pay you by credit card, but their card details are only sent to paypal, for extra security. Paypal can transfer the money to your bank account. You and the buyer are protected by paypal. You still get paid if you have sent the goods, but the buyer's credit card was bad. The buyer gets compensation from paypal if a seller doesn't send the goods that they have paid for.

eBay also operate a site called eBay Express for people to sell goods at a fixed price. Only people who have sold a lot of things on eBay and have a good, near 100% positive, feedback score can sell things on here.

There are plenty of good books, such as 'eBay for Dummies'.
