An ISO image (.iso) is an informal term for a disk image of an ISO 9660 file system.
you have to burn the iso image file in a cd using nero or any other software and then you can play the game.

iso files are image files. If you have an iso file of a game, this means that an image of the game cd has been created and that all the files are within the iso file. This file functions almost like the cd itself.
However you will need to create a virtual cd or dvd rom. Through this you can use the iso file by inserting it into the drive. Or you can extract the original files by using a software that reverses the process.
Go to http://download.com and:
- download alcohol 120% if you want to create a virtual drive
- download isobuster if you want to extract the original files.

iso files are image files, as in you use a cd writing software thingy and say something like "write image to disc" and find the iso file and you-know-the-rest kinda stuff lol
ISO's can be extracted by some programs yes, but that will not help if you want to boot from the disc

if i'm not mistaken, iso files are supposed to be burned into cd then loaded on the cd drive. if iso file is not that big, send file to a friend or copy to a flash drive and ask friend to burn on cd for you.

iso files are image file of a CD/DVD.
You will require "daemon tools" or "Alcohol 120%" to load this files.
After load this program make a virtual drive to run this file as CD/DVD, and you will be able to play game.

i guess that iso files r just zipped files,, cause i have an iso file and winrar extarcted it.
