Pure Ignorance! The way their ignorant parents raised them which is that case couldn't be helped. It's really a sad thing when we as human being can't get along because of the color of ones skin. I don't know what it will take for everyone to get along but what comes to my mind all the time is Aliens from another planet! Remember the movie Independence Day when it took a Black man and Jewish man to save the frigging world? Well if we ever get invaded by real Aliens (and that's only if you believe that they really exists), If I were Will Smith or Jeff Goldblum, I wouldn't do Jack for this tired @ss planet and then it would serve our @sses right. The bad thing about that is all of the good suffer with the STANKA DANKS!

A mixture of Xenophobia and years of cultural brainwashing have caused racism to persist as long as it has.Also alot of people are just attention starved racism is a hot bed topic and always gets attention.But the deep seated root too all of it is Mis-Education.
Because so many people take any information given to them by any group of so called experts as truth and fact rather then looking into the situations them self and finding out what the reality of the situation is.

People are racist for a variety of factors. Upbringing has alot to do with it if they come from a family that is racist. Experiences is also a big thing. If they come across several bad apples within a certain race, they conclude the entire race is bad. Invalid deduction, but, nonetheless, concluded by many.
I just ignore them. People are free to feed on any delusion that serves them, as long as it doesn't affect me or my family.

I think people are racist because it gives them a purpose or a cause. Also, I think it gives them a group to belong to. People want and or need a cause to call their own and, unfortunately, racism fills the void for some people. Also, people need to feel that they are part of a group and often, these people roam in small groups. Finally, there are groups of people who target vulnerable people with this message at just the right (or wrong) time when they are most vulnerable/susceptible to this message. Often, these people are filling there own desires to have a purpose, and belong to a group and or they are just exploiting them for financial gains.

I feel that if racist were brought up around people of different races, then they would be more accepting to others. I feel sorry for closed minded people like that because they are teaching that to their offspring.

people are taught to be racist. children are not born racist. and for someone to know what being racist is, there had to have been reverse racism. meaning, a person who is the victim in racism, sees racism acted on them,so they become reactionary and we know what we see is what we soon become so then in return since they are taught it or see it acted upon them, its making them to become racist.its in the similar case that's happening between blacks and whites today.
