I had the same problem!
I found out that it was really easy to import songs from CD's when you do the following:
Load CD - windows media should open

Start iTunes and connect iPod

Wait until the iPod icon shows up - center of screen on the left

Click on File - toolbar, far left

Go down to Import - Ctrl+Shift+O

On Import window click on the tab that says look in:(My Music)

Go down to My Computer and select it

Then, look for Audio CD or (F:)

Click on that and a track list should appear

Select the track you want and click Open

Wait for it to import and then RIGHT click on the track ( you should be in Library - Music)

Go down to Add to Playlist and select (your name)'s iPod

Watch the window at the top of the screen to monitor the progress - it will also tell you when you can disconnect your iPod

Nano. The nano because with the shuffle you may't view the music and it might get stressful to save clicking the button to locate the music you want over and throughout back. and likewise in case you basically favor to hearken to random songs the nano has a shuffle mode so with the nano you immediately get a shuffle and extra kind of colorations to make certain from. For colour i'm girly so pink lol pink and black are basically as large I have a video so i do not get the colour selection unfortunatly. also my first ipod replaced right into a nano and in case you get the nano or shuffle be very careful now to not lose it they are extremely mild so actual person-friendly to ignore.

go into itunes, and hit "import" then select the files you want to bring into itunes. itunes uses a slightly different format, but will reformat the files to work in itunes for you, you just have to go to "import"
