A lot of things affect a womans menstrual cycle... I've known women to have periods that started off from their pills multiple times... stress, diet, exercise, sexual activity all seem to have an effect.

Women in general are amazing critters - and their reproductive organs pretty much have a mind of their own (though unlike men - women aren't controlled by sex organs...)

I've been with many women who've had bleeding during the weeks in between when their period was due... and on the pill.

I've also known a large number of women who attempted to use the pill to regulate their menstrual cycle.

If you're consistently having bleeding early - then you might want to talk to your doctor about changing the birth control pill you're using...

Women react differently to the various pills on the market today... and you may be using one that doesn't work well with your girly parts...

I have been on the pill for many years. One thing is Breakthrough bleeding that is fairly common when on the pill. This can be caused by missing a day of taking the pill OR something as simple as taking the pill at a different time then you normally take it. YES, our bodies are crazy like that. I tend to take my pill various times each day so it isn't so crazy if I miss the delegated time that I should take the pill so this doesnt happen to me. Occasionally though it still happens. It is normal. No cause for worries.

You can have break through bleeding at anytime on the pill. How long have you been on this prescription? Bleeding usually signifies that the prescription is not strong enough for you. Better check with the gyn.
