Does it take a certain level of intelligence to appreciate Napoleon Dynamite and Christopher Guest's movies (other than Spinal Tap, which was good) or do you just have to be a loser with an extremely white, middle-America, virgin-at-30, sense of humor who thinks they are intelligent and finds hip hop scary because all those black people are so naughty?

im a very intellegent 32 year old non virgin non middle class with of black friends who thinks napoleon dynamite is utter garbage it wasnt funny it was stupid it made no sense and it just sucked and i find it funny a movie made by mtv won best movie at the mtv awards self promoting jackasses i think the people who like this film are also fans of the insipid jackass film

I don't think so because I'm 13, i have a 4.0 grade-point average, I live in north america with a white sense of humour, i'm not a loser and that's my favorite movie. As for my friend, who is failing in every class and had to do 8th grade all over again, has a black sense of humour and is a total loser also enjoys that movie.

Not everyone finds humor in the same movies, because not everyone is the same! It has nothing to do with I.Q. levels. Do you think a middle-aged mortician would find humor in the same movies as say....a 16-year old skater dude? Ok....bad example, but I hope you smell what I'm stepping in.

People need to stop taking movies so seriously. It was made for people to have fun watching it. In order to enjoy it, people need to just let themselves go and stop being so anal.
