The first one : probably in the next 12 months, but definitely by about 13 1/2.
The second is all about genetics. No one can tell you how your breasts will end up looking.

You should be getting your period any time now, though some girls don't get it until they are as old as 15 or even 16 The normal age is between 11 to 13.
Your breasts will be pointy and often quite tender for about a year to a year and a half before they are fully developed. I hope that helps answer your question.

1) I was 16 years old when I started - so you have nothing to worry about. The periods often mark that you are about to stop growing, so tall women often started them later than those that are shorter. Don't worry - in fact enjoy not having it yet.. you might not be so excited when it comes every month. :)
2) Your breasts will grow. There is no way of saying for how long they will be "pointy" but since you are only just about to turn 12 I can promise that they will grow and change in the next years.
If you are slim you might develop a bit later but still turn out normal. :)

Hey! Slow down!
Once you get your period you will wish you never had it. Enjoy your time without it. You are still young enough so you are normal not having it yet. Lots of girls get it at a later age. Some get it younger too but plenty of girls don't get it until they are 12, 13, 14, 15 and some as late as 16 and 17.
Also, it takes a long time for your breasts to finish growing. That's just how Mother Nature works. Buy bras that have a little padding in them until you finish filling out. That helps to even things out!

It all depends entirely on the person. Personally, I didn't get my period until 8th grade. I spent 3 years wondering when it would come and why I was so far behind everyone else, but when it finally did it sucked! So enjoy not having it.
As far as the "pointy breasts," same thing goes. I assume they stop being pointy when they get substantially bigger. Unfortunately, as an 18 yr old, this never quite happened to me :(
Honestly, the very best source of information for this is your mom. Girls tend to devolop about the same as their mothers, so ask her when she first started her period and when her breasts were developed.
In the meantime, don't worry! You're still plenty young to be worrying about any of that.

Okay, I started when I was 11...my best friend started when she was 16. So, it really depends on what is normal for your family.
Your breasts will seem to stay like that for a long time but in reality, it won't be long at all. Since they are starting to look pointy now, it probably won't be long before they change and you start your period.
Periods are not all they are cracked up to be. Just be patient and it does not make you any less of a young lady because you haven't had it yet.
When I was in the 6th grade, one of the girls was telling all of us that she had started...turned out it was all a lie. The thing was , nobody really cared, we were just all anxious to start the "change". Take your time & try not to worry about it so much...it will happen.
If you need more info, talk to your folks. Also you can go to websites like webmd.com and check out their puberty sections and menstruation sections.

11 1/2 is still pretty young to have a period...you are not alone, believe me. I am a nurse practitioner who is trained in OB/GYN.
You will be getting your period because you are telling me you are beginning to have breast development...that means you are putting out some female hormones. Your breasts will be "just pointy" until you have more breast tissue behind them. Believe me when I say most older women would sell their right arms for pointy breasts again :) Don't be concerned about not having a cycle now...you will in the very near future...hope this helped!

All girls are different. I started mine a few months before I turned 12. My granddaughter is 13 and still hasn't had hers. Some girls don't get them until they are 17. Same with the breasts, no one can know when they will grow larger. Mine never grew much until I started having babies. I could have worn a training bra until then. I was not a little thing either. In fact I was overweight, but not more than 15 or so pounds.

Some girls start their period late sweetie. Don't worry. I started mine when I was 11 but my best friend was 13.
As for your breasts, well thats another story. It really depends on the shape of your mother's breast and the res of the women in your family. All I can say is that mine became more round when I was about 13-14.
Try not to worry so much.

1. Most girls get their first period sometime when they're 12 or 13. Some girls get it when they're younger and some when they're older. Don't be in such a hurry to get it. Once you get it, you'll get it pretty much every month for the next 40 or so years (except when your pregnant).
2. You'll probably find that your breasts will become rounder and less pointy around the time you get your first period.
