how to get files from US Customs?

Last year I got into trouble because My cousins did not have papers when we were coming back from mexico. They took i\me in, questioned me and everything. I have tried to gat a foster care lisence to get custody of my nephews but that incident came up in my criminal report. It says I was Recieved or Arrested. I told them I was not arrestd and they said i needed to get the paper work from US Customs Which they wont give me. What can I do now?.

U.S. Customs records are subject to the Freedom of Information Act. Also, you can try your Congressman's office - ask for the assistant who handles constituent problems.
