For a program that focuses on innovation in instruction, check out Teacher's College at Columbia University. It is world-renowned in this respect.

US News lists the top 50 education programs. See the link below.

There aren't a lot of surprises regarding the top schools. Harvard, Columbia, Penn, and Stanford top nearly every list. In addition, several of the better state universities are also on the list -- like Berkeley, UCLA, Michigan, Wisconsin and Minnesota.
