I remember those days, I was so poor I couldn't pay attention. It was food or fix the car. I received a $3000 repair bill for my car. I think the mechanic still has my car because I haven't payed my bill yet. That was 10 years ago. The other people named some good sources of financing what about friends or family. No matter what you decide to do remember, it may seem like the end of the world but many of us got through it. Just keep the faith it's a simple bump in the road of life.

you don't, or at least you shouldn't! That is as bad as charging Christmas, because you don't have the money! A $500 dollar repair ciuld cost you $1500, after interest and finance charges, and what if the car breaks again? Or the fix didn't fix the car?

I've never heard of any dealer or independent mechanic offering financing for repairs. You need to have either a credit card or cash. Sorry!

Master Card, Visa, Mom or Dad.
Although, in years past I used to have a Firestone charge. They did repairs (although not major ones like an engine re-haul) and I could put those on my Firestone account.

WIth money? Use a credit card, get a bank loan, borrow from parents or friends or attempt to make arrangements with the mechanic.
