I don't mean to answer a question with questions of my own but: Have you not already been online long enough to have established any relationship--be they acquaintanceship, association, or friendship--wherein you're both comfortable enough to have gotten so personal as to exchange numbers or meet? If not, why not? I know it's hard finding the decent, but they do exist. I'm a decent young lady, but never have I done what you have in questioning "virtual" strangers if they're willing to have a text friendship, indicating the swapping of numbers. That's unsafe.
