You're being silly. Just get ready for them

that would neither change the fact they were rude, make u the better person, nor make u feel any better. you should get ready the same as if u were expecting any other guest. when they arrive however, have the fixings for a snack put out, smile at them and say "u forgot to mention when u'd be coming, so i thought instead of having the food sitting around, u could help me make it" tough love :) i doubt they will forget again! especially if ur making pasta or something! haha ♥

Wait....you are expecting them. Did they give you a date? (Today, tomorrow, etc) That should be good enough, given everything people have going on in this season.

I would be in sweats ANYWAY, 'cause when I'm not working I pretty much don't wear anything but jeans, PJ's or sweats. But that's me.

sure it is vacation. They called to say they were coming and did not tell you just when to expect them? Put some nice sweats on and your house slippers and act normal as they are just there maybe for a few minutes.

You probably should have asked! But as long as you were nice and didn't and they did not tell you I say, stay in your sweats and have some fun on Yahoo Answers and it they raise an eye brow just say, "You didn't say when you were Coming."

you should tell your visitor that it is rude, I had a mate who did that to me all the time and I would wait like hours for him. You know what? Were not mates anymore cos it annoied the hell outa me and everytime I told him he was like 'sorry' but then would do it all over again the next time!

I'd compromise .... stay in your sweats and surface tidy so that they don't think your a slob... and next time I wouldn't wait for them to tell me what time they plan on showing up - I'd ask up front and insist on a time-frame - you have a life you know!

If they can't at least tell you when they're going to show up, don't waste your life waiting on them! I would straighten up a little but if I had things to do or places to go, I would just do it. If I spent my whole life on other people, I'd never get anything done!

if they cant let you know they are coming then go about your business i would even leave and stay gone for a long time and as far as your house it should always be presentable you never know when you'll have surprise guest

If you firmly told them that you needed a time that they would be arriving then you'd have your answer. Since you obviously didn't, then it's up to you to deal with in any way you want.
I'd personally clean up, dress up.. and then go back to yahoo answers.

Yep. If they don't say when they're coming, you aren't obligated to worry about how you or yer house looks. If they have a problem with that, then they should give you an arrival time.
