Hello

I have a question about the state agency pertaining to a paternity test......If I were to go that route, (allowing the state agency to get the test done for me), would that automatically put my case for child support over to the state???

Thanks

I can tell you that in Oklahoma that is the case. If you allow the state agency to do the paternity test then they will handle all childsupport issues. Also, if after the results of the paternity verify that you are the father, you will be automatically behind in child support because they make you pay back support to the day the child was born. Hope this helps

Yes because they are spending money on the test and they will want to make sure the father is paying for it. At least that is how it is in my state.

Well usually yes If they go that route they will put you up for child support unless you are married and you will have to pay unless you get married.
