There are lots of undelete programs. Some of these are free. You just need to download and install one off of the net, then run it and follow the instructions in the help menu.

The files that you deleted should still be sitting on your hard disk. Its just that the directory entry that points to them has been deleted. The undelete program can normally recover them, providing you haven't done loads and loads of work on the computer that might hve over-written them with other files.

If you are not a very good computer user odds are you have lost them perminatley, i have hear somewhere that real computer experts can retrive a select few of these files but not the average computer user, if it was an important file you NEED then i suggest phoneing up a computer company and asking for advice, if it was just a simple word document you could type up again, then do not bother as to get a professional will cost money.

I've used a program called Recover My files in the past, and it has worked well.

Also, if you have cash to spare, try getting Tuneup Utilities 2007. It has an excellent tool for undeleting files in the recycling bin. =)

If yoiu have XP you can try to restore the system. (not entirely sure if this will restore files, but it is worth a try)

The other option I can give you is a program called "GatDataBack"
