In the frist place if she had unprotected sex two weeks ago, but did get her period, and had a negative pregnancy test, you can pretty much rule out that she is pregnant. An early embryo is so small it is still very low under the pubic bone and would not produce any abdominal swelling...till about 12 weeks. The side of her abdomen that is swollen would be a concern to me that she has some other kind of problem and needs to consult a physician soon.

Usually most women don't start showing until their 4th month. Sounds like she is just gaining weight. If something serious were wrong she would be in pain. Your gall bladder and appendix are on the right side beginning just below the rib cage. These will go bad sometimes, but they cause severe pain when they do. As long as she is having bowel movements and no pain, I wouldn't worry.

It could be numerous things. She needs to have it checked pronto. Abdominal aneurysms aren't painful and have no symptoms typically. She could also have a hernia. Try to talk her into going to the doc. If she has a tubal pregnancy(when the fertalized egg doesn't travel to the uterus but stays in the fallopian tube instead) then it may not show up an a pregnancy test especially this early.

Since she isn't pregnant, it is most likely a cyst. She should have a doctor check it out and also get checked for STDs. She should also take another pregnancy test to rest assured that she isn't pregnant (if something happened she WAS, it's too soon for her to be showing any obvious signs other than morning sickness).

This has to be checked out ASAP !!! Please tell her to go to a gynecologist and get a sonography. The belly of somebody 2 weeks pregnant sould not show, and weight gain in girls is usually not located only in the belly.
This could be a cyst (ovarian cysts can get pretty big, one lady I know had one the size of a grapefruit).
My best friend had this problem, and it turned out to be ovarian cancer. Those tumors are extremely agressive and grow to impressive sizes in less than a month. Tell her not to delay !!!

The side of her abdomen? She could just be gaining weight. She could just be bloated from her period. She could have a hernia, bowel obstruction, or alien. If there is not pain don't worry about it.

Dumb friend.. unprotected sex? she must be a teen right?
Its a cyst... very common. Dr. can watch it and if it bursts she can be ok or he may want to remove it.
Sounds like a cyst.
