I'm moving into my apartment next weekend, first time living on my own with no roommates, so I'll have none of my own pots or pans. It seems like everywhere I look though that they're at least $100 for a tiny set. Anyone have any ideas where to search? Or does anyone know a specific site to order them off of that may be cheaper there?

You can go to Dillards, Macys, JCPenny and get a decent set for around $50.00 on sale. I got mine for around $55.00 and it was a 12-piece set including lids at Dillards. Or look in the sale ads in the Sunday newspapers. There are tons of deals out there, you just have to look.

Since I do not know where you live, I cannot give you specifics. However, most cities have church or charity sponsored Thrift shops.

Don't let pride get in your way. If you browse through thrift shops you may be surprised at what you can find. Many of the donors give quality items. Unless you want a matched set immediately, thrift stores are a good place to start.

A really good set will be relatively expensive, so if you can budget a small amount each month to save for it, you will eventually have a good set that will last forever.

Amazon.com often has wonderful deals on Calphalon cookware during their Friday sales. I highly recomend this cookware as it will last you the rest of your life if well taken care of. Cheap cookware isn't worth it because you will have to replace it within a year.

If there is a faberware outlet nearby, that would be a good place to check. They have individual pieces you can buy that may have some kind of flaw (not flaws that would effect the quality)

Turn your TV on to HSN or better yet, go to www.hsn.com
when you group what you are looking for read the opinions they post under each product. It's the very best shopping place and it's in your living room!
