I just found out that their film Looney Tunes: Back in Action did not do as well in box offices worldwide. Made them lose their confidence. I wonder where are all the Looney Tune fans gone.

Looney Toons is the greatest animated material of all time.

Its possible that the death of Mel Blanc (who voiced pretty much everyone for like 5 or 7 decades) has hurt the loonies....

I know that I was a bit turned off with the voice actor changes required when he died...

But if they continue to make original material of the same quality, I would definitely still watch.

Heck - I'd be thrilled if some channel dedicated itself to running the whole mess of cartoons... don't know how many there are, I don't know... but I was excited about their release of DVD's Best of Titles...

Well, thing is, Looney Tunes has been around for so many years there are only so many different ways and times it can be reinvented without changing it so much that it turns people off. Like it or not, Looney Tunes is a cartoon standard and people are used to accessing it on TV and not in theaters. Straight to DVD is one thing, matinees are another.

Modern Looney Tunes suck. The classic theatrical cartoons done by Chuck Jones and Mel Blanc are the only ones worth watching. Get the originals on DVD, they're way better. Happy 2007!!
