is it normal for screens in the window to be loose?

i noticed that in the wintertime, a couple of my screens seem a little loose. i attribute it to the shrinking of the wood in the house due to dry conditions. in the summer they"swell" a bit. one window frame swells so much i have trouble closing it.

needs to some what loose to be able to remove it look on the side you will see metal clips might need to bend them to make more tension then the sreen will fit tighter
