I have habit of trying to believe the people I love are trustworthy but in all honesty sometimes they aren't I still love them but I keep them at a distance. It's very hard to love someone you don't trust.

Hello =)

No, I don't think that trust is a prerequisite to love at all...

That's why we end up in so many unequitable relationships, after all.

We can love someone after just a few hours of meeting them, after all....and how can we know if we can trust them or not??

In a certain sense, I love all my fellow creatures, very much, actually.

However, whether or not they are trustworthy has a great deal to do with how successful a relationship we can have with them.

There are all sorts of lies, as well. A lie to spare someone's feelings, and does no harm is usually a good thing.

A lie to save oneself is often not a good thing, but it is understandable.

A lie to deceive, however, is another matter entirely......especially when that deceit gains the perpetrator of the lie some sort of value......

So.....different sorts of distrust as well....

A very complicated question really...

Namaste, and Happy Holidays,

Al the people you love are not necessarily trustworthy, but make sure that the one you'll love and give yourself to is trustworthy, for otherwise, the loser will be only you.

No, with the exception of my parents, all the people I love are worthless good for nothing losers. I would trust the heroin addict that lives next to me more than I would trust the ones I love.

Depends how you mean "love" if you mean as a boyfriend/girlfriend then there should be a great deal of trust!

If they are your friends and nothing more you should be able to trust me them with your secrets and whatnot, if not, they are bad friends

If it is your family you could trust them with ANYTHING, no matter what it is, you should be able to trust them with your life!

No, you don't. People can ruin your trust, yes, but do not loose my love because of it. Love is unconditional.

You may not be able to fall in love with someone you don't trust, but those you already love, will not loose it over trust.

No. Trust and Love are separate. You can trust people and not love them, like your close friends. You can also love people and not trust them, like the boyfriend that keeps telling you lies, but you love him anyway. FYI I don't have one of those, it's just an example.

No, but trusting someone you love really helps the relationship. No trust hurts it, all the lies that are told can really kill the relationship when a lie is found out about.
