Great idea! Here's why I think so: my wife is an accountant, I am an IT guy. I wrote a lot of programs that are now being used in her office to save tons of hours in routine work. Maybe knowing both accounting and information systems you'll get the best of both worlds and get an edge over your peers.
Good luck.

I know that it would have helped me a lot to have had both majors. Once in accounting management, alot of the decisions I had to make dealt with systems. If you are interested in working on a project team both would be great!

Double major is always better as it opens more doors for you. My daughter double majored in Poli Sci and Economics. Now double majoring in grad school. The double major made it far easier for her to get a free ride in grad school.

Only you can answer that. If you think you can handle both simultaneously, then go for it. But some majors are hard enough to juggle alone, adding another one might be more trouble than it's worth.
