Go out and find another girl, get laid, get over it and move on...
Life is too damn short to be mulling over these trivial pursuits. There are people dying out there. There are wars being fought over silly things. Our environment is being destroyed. Species dying every minute. Natural disasters striking everywhere. There is so much work left to be done. Do you think the damn world stops and gives a rat's *** about your little heart being broken over some silly girl? Come on, boy!
Pull up your socks and get a frigging life already, man.
Get over it, and move on already!
Jees, what a silly whiner!

OK, you did the breaking up - so isn't that whay you wnated int he first place? Why do you need to "get back on your feet?" If she actualyl left you - then take some time and be comfortable with yourself - don't go crazy and occupy yourself too much - don't hide in a acve either just let things settle and chill for awhile. When you're ready to get back in the game you'll feel it and then let friends know you're in the market again.

Get away as far you can get, from her. Don't let anybody talk to you about her. Go to places you never been with her. Don't hear music you heard with her, try to do things you never did. Be with your best friend for support. Everything different. When you feel strong, you are on your feet again

Go hang out with your friends and take some time to enjoy being yourself as an individual. Do something just for yourself, like go on a short vacation, watch some movies, play video games, and so forth. Take this time to grow as an individual and be yourself.

I just broke up with my boyfriend so now I'm just in the hanging out mode, picking up my old hobbies to get my mind off the hurt. You should do the same...

Realize that YOU are responsible for your happiness and no one else. Therefore, if you were counting on her for it, it was a sick relationship and you're well rid of it. Don't try to look for another one right away. Instead, make a list of the top 10 things you look for in a mate and prioritize them. Then go BE those things yourself.

Well, if you are the one that did the breaking up then I think you just need some alone time for awhile. (Minus a skanky ho or two).

Brush off any hard feelings that you have about her, do something just for you, and surround yourself with good company.

Aren't you already on your feet? It will take some time, but you need to get your esteem back in order and spend time alone...opinions not needed from peers, family, etc. This is time for you to re-group. AND PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't think of calling or contacting that person in ANY WAY!
