One of my best friends gets jealous whenever I go out with anyone. Even my best female friend. When I leave he comes over to my house and sits until I come back, waiting on me. Once he even went out to look for me when I went out to lunch with my other best friend. Lately he's been getting out of control with it. He saw this guy he knows I like at walmart and told him I'm stalking him and all of this crazy crap that isnt true so he wont like me. It didnt work but I still dont appreciate it... Of course he swears he didnt do it but I know he had to. No one else there knew about the stuff he twisted to scare the guy. Are all 18 year old guys like this or is he psycho? How can I calm him down a little so he wont ruin my life?

It's sounds to me like someone likes you as more than a friend or he is very insecure about himself. You should try talking to him about how he's making you feel. Tell him that if he doesn't start giving you some of the space that you need...it might ruin your relationship. He may just be a very lonely guy with only you to call a friend...or maybe he does have some possessive issues. If that's the case, be careful in the way you handle the situation. You don't want to piss him off! Either way you need to tell him that as much as you enjoy his friendship and company, you do need some time for yourself every once in a while. AND you have to consider...if he did tell the guy you like crazy stuff...is he really a friend anyway??

Well, first of all this "friend" is over protective. Did you ever think maybe this boy likes you? Or he just is scared to loose you as a friend? To calm him down talk to him about. Take him into somewhere private where you cant be disturbed and say what you wrote here on yahoo!answers. 18 year old boys are definitly not like this. Only ones who must have a really good realtionship with a best friend, probly most of the time a girl. See if he likes you. Do u have ANY feelings for him? Good luck!

I've had a friend like this before. He always had to know where I was going and when I made plans that didn't involve him; he would become very upset with me. Later, I found out he had very strong feelings for me and wanted me all for himself. Set your boundaries with him and let him know that you need your space and privacy. Put your foot down and make sure he understands and if he doesn't respect your wishes, he isn't worth keeping around!

he sounds pretty pyscho. does he personally like you more than a friend? has he ever hinted to you that he likes you?? but honestly, all guys are like that. the same thing happened w/ one of my good guy friends- it was sooo overwhelming.
i'd let him know.................. because it can seriously ruin your friendship. it has to mines.
