This is a contradiction in terms. Good music downloading programs aren't free, they cost money. And unfortunately, the free ones suck (see comment above mine--it's typical).
eMusic.com is one of the better subscription music sites that I know of. Not very expensive, either.

A good free one is Bearshare; bearshare.com
But watch out;; after you have it for a while they will trick you into upgrading and that makes you pay and gives you viruses.
Sometimes free isnt legal and it is harmful to your computer.
So a good legal one that you have to pay for is Walmart. There music is editted, and 11cents cheaper than other places, $0.88 per song.

Try LimeWire.
Its latest version will cost you 20 dollars whilst an earlier version, which works quite well, thank you!, is for free.
Cheers!
