THE TRUE SPIRIT OF THE SEASON IS IN YOUR HEART, feel no guilt for your celebration. Let no one damped your joy. Remember the love and warmth of your friends and family and forget the glitter and glam of the stores. Embrace the charity and giving of the season let go the avarice and greed. Let your smile be a greeting to an angry word. May the New Year find you content, healthy and whole.

It is true that the corporate commercialization of Christmas is at its all time high. It use to be that you would not see Christmas decorations or gifts until after Thanksgiving. Have you noticed that the last couple of years that Christmas stuff is put out right after Halloween is over and before Macy's even has had their Thanksgiving parade? The huge conglomerates are hitting us from all sides.

Since the late 1800s the economic importance of Christmas has led to concerns over what is seen as the increasing commercialization of Christmas. However, I don't think that everyone has lost the true meaning of Christmas. There is nothing wrong with buying gifts that we think will bring a smile on someone's face and show them that we care. I agree with you, THE TRUE SPIRIT OF THE SEASON IS IN YOUR HEART. Merry Christmas to you and yours also.

The idea of giving was never meant to be commercial as it has become these days. The poorer people have a lot of pressure put on them by TV and other forms of advertising children do not understand Christmas should be about caring not giving a smile a gesture and a simple Merry Christmas should mean more than a present for those who have received gifts think of the one,s that have,nt i am not a religious person but I think these rules should apply? Happy New Year to all I hope 2007 is a great one for all of you.

You took the words right out of my mouth...lol..Stores overdue it and start so early because because it is a cash cow for them, but if you can overlook that and remember the reason for the season, and enjoy all the beautiful things this holiday season has to offer...that is what it is all about..I want to wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas and hope your Holiday season is filled with many happy moments..take care and peace be with you..so why not spread some peace around...
