I just had a baby 2 and a half months ago... the contraction hurt at first because it catches you off guard. if you do not want to experience pain during childbirth make sure you tell you your OB so he can be prepared to give you and epidural when you go into labor.. that will take out all your pain and you will still be able to experience your baby coming into this world... don't be scared.. your a woman and your body is made for this.. once ithappens your body forget... and your soo happy with you baby you dont even notice that your body is that sore.. ( but you do know it is ) the baby helps the healing process.. good luck with you baby... don't be scared.. your going to be a mommy and you have to be strong your lil baby...

Yes, it's going to hurt. It feels like you are taking a really big poop (sorry, but it does) But the more scared you are the more it will hurt. I was really afraid until about 8 months along when I realized I would do Absolutely anything to get him out of me! I f he is hurting you, you should talk to your doctor about it, but it's probably just nerves. You should talk to your doctor about pain relief too, it doesn't have to hurt if you take medication. Sometimes its better to take it and be calm than to not take it because you are worried about the effect on the baby. Usually the effects are minimal and go away quickly.

yes its going to hurt. but think about it this way. at least you know it will end. unlike with somethings, say headache, or muscle aches, or heartbreak, you know the pain will end and there is going to be great happiness. trust me, after you have the baby, you forget how much it really hurt. and there are drugs you can get to make the pain less! THEYRE AWESOME! Tr y not to think aboult it, because theres really nothing much you can do until the day it happens. So think about all the good things that are going to happen instead of brooding about all the hurt.pain and ****. Good luck!

yes it hurts very much. Just think of your menstral cramps but like 50 times worse. You know you can always get an epidoral but eventually they have to shut it or lower it dramatically for you to be able to push the baby out.
But you will be fine not to worry...as soon as you see the baby you will forget all that horrible pain you just went through!!
Good Luck!! it will be okay.

yes, unless u have an epidural. An epidural will paralize u from the waste and u wont feel a thing. Have it soon as possible i had a cup of tea and some toast when i pushed my son out, sooo easy and pain free.

i have had 4 children and yes it can hurt. but the way to look at it is at the end of the pain you have got something to show for it. or just have an epidural and gas & air which is great stuff. good luck i hope it all goes well
